2021.03: Mountain Biking – 14.000 km in 2 years

The 2020 ‘lockdown’ ushered in restrictions (aka “social distancing”) although humans, to be able to live, as a group, need to exist as a group. But I won’t go into my somewhat controversial view here.

Instead, I’ll concentrate on the positive side of the situation: we had weeks of great weather here in Bavaria, meaning I could get out and enjoy this positive side of things on foot (with my partner) or alone (on my ‘trusty steed’):

Unfortunately, busloads of people from Munich converged on this beautiful hill (Taubenberg near Warngau in the Miesbach area in Bavaria): due mostly to disrespect for nature and the locals, this massive traffic lead to a lot of conflict here… am still hoping this can be resolved peacefully and (for all) positively!

One positive effect of the Corona nonsense was having more time to discover routes / trails in the area where I lived; the good side of ‘home-office’ (the German phrase for remote home-based working) meant I could make the most of nice weather during daylight.
